The Art of Churrasco

Long before churrasco became celebrated around the world, it was a way of life on the sweeping grasslands of Southern Brazil. Across the Pampas, the gaúchos — Brazil's legendary horsemen and cattlemen — spent long days riding the open plains.

At day's end, they gathered around wood fires, where carefully selected cuts of beef were seasoned simply with coarse salt and slowly roasted over glowing embers. With little more than fire, patience, and experience, they allowed each cut to speak for itself.

Churrasco was never about complexity. It was about respecting the quality of the meat, mastering the rhythm of the fire, and sharing a meal that brought people together. Around the flames, stories were exchanged, friendships were strengthened, and hospitality became as important as the food itself.
